The battle for Hyrule begins!
While all seems well in Hyrule, catastrophe lurks on the horizon. Unbeknownst to the kingdom’s inhabitants, a great evil is set to plunge the land into 100 years of darkness.
Join Link, Zelda, her Champions and the other heroes of Hyrule and try to quell Calamity Ganon’s uprising before it brings about total destruction. Travel across the realm and meet with familiar faces from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, seeing how they react to the approaching malevolence in fully-voiced*, in-depth cutscenes.

Link
A knight of Hyrule, Link is a silent and stoic young man. Despite his reserved demeanour, he can’t resist a good meal.
Zelda
The daughter of King Rhoam and princess of Hyrule. A scholar of ancient Sheikah technology, Zelda channels all of her energy into stopping Calamity Ganon.
Impa
An adviser to Hyrule's royal family and a revered member of the Sheikah tribe, Impa is dedicated to her work – though she can be distractible at times.
Revali
The Champion of the Rito tribe, Revali is a skilled archer who can strike with great speed. However, his confidence often comes across as arrogance.
Daruk
The larger-than-life Goron Champion, Daruk is devoted to protecting Death Mountain from attack. Despite his immense strength, he’s terrified of dogs.
Urbosa
The well-respected chieftain and Champion of the Gerudo, Urbosa has a deep connection to Zelda, and views her as a little sister.
Mipha
The princess of the Zora, Mipha’s skill with a spear is unparalleled. A childhood friend of Link, she would often use her healing powers on the young Hylian’s cuts and bruises.

Unlock unique cooking recipes during missions and then use them to make special stat-boosting meals ahead of a battle to help really turn the tide. An army marches on its stomach, after all!
A mighty arsenal
As you fight from the slopes of Death Mountain to the sands of Gerudo Town, collect weapons and materials scattered round the battlefield, or earn them as rewards for accomplishing Challenges.
Completing special Quests will unlock shops and other services on the Hyrule Map, where you can buy specific materials or revitalise your current selection of weapons.
